Calculating Shared Parental Leave and Pay

The government has updated its online calculator to take into account Shared Parental Leave and Statutory Shared Parental Pay (https://www.gov.uk/pay-leave-for-parents). An employee may be entitled to Shared Parental Leave and Statutory Shared Parental Pay if their baby is due on or after 5 April 2015 or their adoption takes place on or after this date.

This is a useful tool for employees which employers may wish to include within their policies or refer their employees to, when they are considering which type of leave to take after the birth or adoption of a child.
