Increases to the rates of statutory maternity, paternity,
adoption and sick pay announced
The Government has announced its annual increases to the rates of
statutory maternity, adoption, paternity, additional paternity, shared parental
leave and sick pay.
Employers should be aware of the following increases:
- From the 5 April 2015,
statutory maternity, adoption, paternity, additional paternity and shared
parental pay will increase from £138.18 to £139.58 per week.
- From the 6 April 2015 the
weekly rate of statutory sick pay will increase from £87.55 to £88.45.
In
relation to additional paternity leave and pay, this will only be available in
respect of babies whose expected week of childbirth is before 5 April 2015, or
for children who are placed for adoption before that date.
